Dan MacGillivray

Dan was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta where he grew up in the Alliance Church.  Having been a Pastor's Kid for many years, Dan sensed as a teenager that Jesus was calling him into vocational ministry.  After attending and graduating from Peace River Bible Institute where he met his wife Kristy, Dan pastored in Vanderhoof BC, and at St. Albert Alliance for a combined 15 years, until 2024 when Dan and his family accepted the call to be the lead Pastor here at FSJ Alliance.  More than anything, Dan's "telos" (what his life is all about) is to see people both inside and outside the church encounter Jesus and be transformed to look more like Him. When Dan's not working, he's most likely enjoying a good latte, reading a book, or spending time with his family.   Dan and His wife Kristy have been married for 17 years, and have 2 children, Embry and Noah.
